VILANOVA READY FOR AMERICA'S CUP ACTION
The America’s Cup team bases have been installed on our site, and the teams have settled in to Vilanova ahead of the Preliminary Regatta this week.
Pendennis’ Managing Director Toby Allies commented, “The build up and start of the 37th America’s Cup Preliminary Regatta here in Vilanova has been very exciting to watch. The town and seafront have undergone an amazing transformation, with giant screens on the beach for public viewing, the America’s Cup race village for everyone to enjoy and Formula 1 style media centre.
The Pendennis Vilanova team is very proud that they have been able to welcome this world class event to our doorstop.”
Racing starts on Friday with three counting races scored on a highest points basis with the podium places for each race scoring ten, seven and five points respectively, placing a high emphasis on consistency and early points scoring.
